The cement head is very important wellhead equipment during the cementing job, which is used for mud circulation, plug dropping and mud injection. Its union is connected to mud line, with the bottom end connected with casing or drill pipe. The cement head usually consists of single-plug cement head, double-plug cement head and drill-pipe cement head.
The single-plug cement head has simple Model 600, Model 603 with manifold and quick-installed type, which is determined according to the actual requirement. The simple type usually has one row of retainer pin with a union at bottom which is used for mud circulation, the top cap with a union button which is used for mud injection. This is the simplest single-head cement head, while the other types with manifold and quick-installed have the same function, just only for improving work efficiency and user-friendly.
